Hirvonen slowed on SS9

BP-Ford driver Mikko Hirvonen, who was fastest through Saturday’s opening stage, dropped 30 seconds on the next one because of suspension damage.

The Finn lost the time over the last 4km of the 16.6km Pissia stage, and crossed the finish time with the right-hand rear wheel running badly out of alignment.

With the 10.8km Aghia Triada stage still to run before the midday service, Hirvonen looks certain to lose more time before repairs can be made.
