The winner of Ford’s junior rally series, the Fiesta SportingTrophy International (FSTi) will receive a test session in a Ford Focus RS WRC, with one-on-one tuition from double World Rally Champion Marcus Gronholm.
The organisers of the series, which is supported by Ford, Pirelli and M-Sport, announced that the winner will also be treated to an all-expenses-paid trip to M-Sport’s HQ in the UK, to meet key members of the BP Ford Abu Dhabi World Rally Team and have dinner M-Sport Managing Director Malcolm Wilson.
Further prizes on offer include a test drive in a Ford Focus World Rally Car for any competitor tackling four of the six events which qualify for the competition. The series winner will also have the chance to win a contract to work with the BP-Ford team in 2009.
Scotsman Barry Clark is driving for the Munchi’s Ford team in Turkey this weekend as part of his prize for winning the FSTi competition in 2007.
“I’m looking forward to having Marcus working with us again,” said Wilson. “The young driver lucky enough to win this prize will truly receive a chance of a lifetime. I certainly look forward to watching the progression of the winner both during and after the test.”
