FLASH NEWS UPDATE: Latvala loses lead on SS18

Jari-Matti Latvala has lost the lead of the Jordan Rally after his car’s suspension broke on SS18, costing him 50 seconds.

His Ford Focus RS WRC has a broken left-hand rear suspension link.

Latvala has made emergency repairs using ratchet straps, but ahead of SS19 the left-hand rear wheel remains badly out of alignment.

“The right-hand lateral link broke,” said Latvala. “We didn’t hit anything at all on SS18, but we went over a rock on the first stage, so maybe it was damaged then.”
