Engine problem stops Sordo on SS11

Citroen's Dani Sordo has retired from the third day of the rally after his car suffered an engine problem on SS11.

The Spaniard was 7km into Saturday’s third stage when his C4 WRC stopped. At the end of the previous test, Sordo had been lying second overall, 39 seconds ahead of third placed Mikko Hirvonen.

A spokesperson from Citroen Sport confirmed the car will be brought back to the team's service area for inspection before a decision is made about whether it can restart on Sunday.
