Drivers' championship standings after Rally Mexico

Mikko Hirvonen leads the 2008 WRC drivers’ championship after three of the season’s 15 rallies, but by the slimmest of margins.

Hirvonen, who now has 21 points, was six points clear at the top after round two in Sweden, but fourth place in Mexico and another win for Loeb have cut his advantage to just one point.

Loeb now has 20 points and is second in the title fight while Hirvonen’s Ford team-mate Jari-Matti Latvala is third with 16. In fourth place is Subaru’s Chris Atkinson with 14 points.
