Alessandro Bettega will drive for the second time this year the Ford Focus RS WRC06 at the Bettega Memorial (Motor Show Bologna), an event devoted to his father Attilio, this weekend (14-16 December).
The Italian impressed the rally world on his first FIA World Rally Championship outing in a world rally car at this year's Rallye de France - Tour de Corse when he set a multitude of top-ten stage times and finished eleventh overall with the Focus RS, despite retiring from the opening leg.
The car will be supervised during the race this weekend by the technical board of Ramsport.
"I left my heart on board the Ford Focus RS WRC driven at the Tour de Corse," said Bettega. "To have another chance during a demonstration race at the Bettega Memorial, represents for me first of all a great joy and secondly a great responsibility. I will have to face such drivers as Markko Martin, Francois Duval, Jan Kopecky and Toni Gardemeister. As always I will do this gradually, trying not to be too exited about things and without trying to state something. On the French concrete the car was fantastic, but I think it will be even more on the dirt patch, even if, obviously, we are not talking about special stages, whereas a kermesse where the show is the main protagonist."
