Great Britain countdown:
The championship moves to Britain for the penultimate round, Dayinsure Wales Rally GB [26 - 29 October], and a classic selection of high-speed gravel stages.
First run in 1932, this is one of the oldest rallies in the calendar, and tree-lined forest stages and unpredictable Autumn weather make it one of the most rugged.
Based largely in Wales since 2000, this year's itinerary is focused on the county's mid and north regions.
Deeside again hosts the service park, within sight of Toyota's engine manufacturing plant, and the action kicks off on Thursday night with a short opening stage 50km away at Tir Prince horse trotting track.
Friday’s opening leg is the furthest south, taking crews to the Llanidloes and Aberystwyth areas for the Myherin, Sweet Lamb and Hafren stages. All are driven twice, either side of a tyre and light fitting zone in Newtown, and there will be no service available until the evening.
Saturday is a 17-hour, nine-stage marathon which will test competitors’ endurance to the maximum. Concentrated in the Snowdonia region, it starts with Aberhirnant, one of the event's fastest and most spectacular tests, followed by the famous Dyfnant stage.
Crews will then make two passes through the Gartheiniog and Dyfi stages before the short fan-favourite Cholmondeley Castle test across the border in England. After a 30-minute service competitors head out again for a second pass through Dyfnant and Aberhirnant, this time in darkness.
Sunday's finale is based entirely in north Wales near the Brenig and Alwen reservoirs. The trio of Alwen, Brenig and Gwydyr run consecutively before a refuel. Then Alwen and Brenig are repeated, the latter as the live TV Power Stage which provides stunning views as it runs alongside the reservoir.
The rally comprises 21 special stages covering 304.36km
