The championship will be broadcast across a mix of Mediaset Premium's free and pay channels, replacing Fox and Rai which successfully screened WRC in recent seasons.

Mediaset Premium will screen an hour-long highlights programme following all 14 rounds, beginning with Rally Monte-Carlo on Premium Sport HD today (Tuesday) at 16.00. It will be repeated on Wednesday and Thursday.

It will also broadcast the final live TV Power Stage from all rounds on a Sunday lunchtime and all the live stages from Rally Italia Sardegna (9 - 12 June). Mediaset Premium will also carry regular news coverage during each event on its free-to-air channels.

The Italy agreement follows conformation last week of major new deals on Channel 5 in the UK, Telenet in Belgium and leTV in China, ensuring WRC will be screened in more than 150 TV markets in 2016.
