Porsche bonus in WRC 7

Gamers who pre-order the new WRC 7 video game will receive Romain Dumas’ magnificent Porsche 911 GT3 RS RGT as a bonus car.

It is the first time Porsche has featured in the official game of the FIA World Rally Championship, which will go on sale next month. The car will only be available to those who pre-order their copy.

The wonderful roar of the 911’s four-litre six-cylinder engine delighted WRC fans at January’s season-opening Rallye Monte-Carlo and the Che Guevara Energy Drink Tour de Corse in April. Dumas won the FIA R-GT category at both rounds.

“It’s a great honour for the team and me to be represented for the first time in an official WRC video game,” said Dumas.

“We were the first to prepare a 911 GT3 RS RGT for the R-GT Championship, and I’m proud to take part in the return of grand touring cars to the highest level of rally competition.”

Dumas, a successful sports car racer who won the Le Mans 24 Hours in 2010 for Audi and the 2016 edition for Porsche, is also a highly accomplished rally driver. The 39-year-old Frenchman has competed in the Dakar Rally and asphalt WRC events in his long career.

“The Porsche is obviously distinct from the World Rally Cars which compete in the WRC’s headline category. For the public, I think it brings diversity, elegance, and glamour.

“For me, behind the wheel, it’s an amazing challenge. It’s a symbol of passion and extra enjoyment for WRC fans,” he added.

WRC 7, developed by Kylotonn and published by Bigben Interactive, and will be available on PlayStation®4, Xbox One, and PC.
