For 2009 and 2010 Aksa focused on his domestic championship and became Indonesian champion in both seasons. A return to the international stage followed in 2011 when he contested the Pacific Cup section of the APRC, finishing third overall.
The PWRC beckoned again in 2012, and second place in the PWRC on the Acropolis Rally in Greece marked his first international podium.
A long time Mitsubishi driver, Aksa switched to an R5 Fiesta for a WRC2 campaign in 2013, taking a best result of fourth in Catalunya.
