The son of EVEN driver management boss Erik Veiby, Ole Christian has inherited his father's passion for motor sport and started out in the world of karting at the age of 14, becoming Norwegian 125cc Crosskart Champion in his debut season.

He switched to rally driving aged 16 with an ambitious plan to progress through the WRC ranks while continuing his studies at the Norwegian College of Elite Sport.

His WRC debut came at the 2014 RallyRACC Catalunya - Costa Daurada, but it was his drive to second in the following year's Junior WRC that marked him out as one to watch.

2016 was his most ambitious season to date. He started with a WRC 3 class win at Rallye Monte-Carlo in the DS 3, and won his first Junior WRC round at Neste Rally Finland.

He finished fourth in the Junior WRC, but also made his WRC debut in a four-wheel-drive car, completing three WRC 2 events with a Skoda Fabia R5. He also contested three events in the Finnish Championship with the Fabia, and with two victories and one second place he came third in the series.

Ole Christian will stay at the wheel of the Fabia R5 in 2017 for a first full season in WRC 2.
