Rallying is in the blood for Loudon, who’s father Fergus was a successful co-driver in his native Scotland.

Stuart’s first rally was in 2006, and over the next four seasons he learned his craft on home ground, before stepping up to the British Rally Championship in 2010 and guiding John MacCrone to 2nd overall in the Fiesta Sport Trophy. The pair contested the BRC and FSTUK in a Ford Fiesta R2 again in 2011, as well as a handful of WRC and IRC events.

Things picked up in 2012, with a full season in the WRC Academy alongside MacCrone and a selection of IRC and ERC events with Irishman Robert Barrable in a Skoda Fabia S2000.He came away with fourth in the Academy, while some promising results with Barrable led to a WRC2 programme with him in 2013.

Loudon and Barrable return for a second WRC2 campaign this year in a Tunnocks-backed Ford Fiesta R5.
