Klaus Wicha is one of the sport’s most experienced co-drivers.
His career began in 1982, but it was in 1988 when he first made a significant impression alongside Armin Schwarz. They won the German Championship in an Audi and the following season Wicha made his WRC debut in the 1989 Acropolis Rally. He partnered Schwarz in factory drives at both Toyota and Mitsubishi and in 1994 claimed a career-best second in the Acropolis Rally in a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo II.
He has been constantly in demand for drivers contesting the German, Austrian, Czech and British championships and has gathered a string of national honours.
Wicha’s relationship with Armin Kremer stretches back to 1998, when they took on the WRC season opener at Monte-Carlo in a Subaru Impreza and finished eighth.
