A hugely experienced co-driver, Michal Ernst began his career in 1997 and cut his teeth navigating for a number of different drivers in Czech national rallies.
In 2001 he began a long and successful partnership with fellow Czech Štěpán Vojtěch, the pair tackling the Czech championship together in a Toyota Corolla WRC and later a Peugeot 206 WRC.
Ernst made his WRC debut at the 2005 Rallye Deutschland alongside Vojtěch and the pair contested a handful of WRC rallies together in both the 2006 and 2007 seasons.
From 2008 he had a packed calendar of Czech and European rallies accompanying Vojtěch as well as other Czech drivers. In 2010 he joined forces with Martin Semerad and the pair tackled five rounds of the 2011 Production Car Word Rally Championship together in a Mitsubishi.
A relatively quiet 2012 season ended with the first rally alongside Martin Prokop at Rally Catalunya. The partnership endured during 2013, and the pair will return for another 12 round programme in 2014.
