An architect by profession, Gianluca Linari waited until the age of 47 before making his WRC debut in Sardinia in 2007 but
he has been a championship regular ever since. He mounted his first PWRC campaign in 2008, but the highlight of his career
undoubtedly came in 2010 when he claimed a podium finish in the category at Rally Japan, which helped him secure sixth in
the final standings.
In 2012 Linari swapped his Subaru Impreza STi for a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X and achieved a fourth place finish in Mexico en
route to ninth in the PWRC.
He missed last years inaugural WRC 2 campaign but returns for 2014 and is back in an Impreza.
